Google cost per action is a system devised by Google where merchants or advertisers pay for fees converted from actions done by affiliates. Here’s an easier way to understand it: suppose you are a merchant or a website owner or a blog owner or all three. You have something to offer to your readers or customers, say a downloadable file, a pdf book or sample audios. If your website is not yet making a lot of money and nobody seems to be downloading your services (doing the action), you sign up for a cost per action system.

In this system, you will be listed as a part of the affiliate market. That means interested affiliates can sign up to advertize your services. They are given a certain amount of commission whenever they have successfully encouraged a reader to do the action. The action can be any number of things. Some of them, as mentioned earlier, are downloading files or pdf books. Others services might include opening up accounts, joining mailing services or listing services or getting free trials.

If you are the merchant, you have to make sure that this system is really the best way to go. That said, there are several strategies you can adopt in order to make it work. You don’t want your customers to just be downloading free files and not returning the love by subscribing to your site.

Here are some strategies to consider:

1. Look for impressions with high conversions.

A lot of merchants are iffy in bidding a high amount of money for keywords or impressions targeted by many people. But these keywords are valuable. They are like gold in the SEO market. Sought-after keywords are those keywords often used by customers and readers to search in search engines. You are more likely to get more traffic if you successfully bid for impressions with high conversions. Although it is initially expensive, you might get more favorable results.

2. Don’t cross out keywords with poor conversions as well.

As much we love high-ranking keywords, we still see so much potential in keywords that are usually overlooked. Why? It is because there is very low competition here. If you don’t have competition, the traffic that searches for these keywords will go to your website. It adds up although the traffic is not as great as in other keywords.

3. Take your cue from other websites with roughly the same niche as yours.

You’re not imitating them and their keyword or cost per action strategies, merely looking for valuable ideas you can use for your own websites. Search for a high ranking websites. Find out what makes this website a favorite in search engines. Find out how they are ranking and converting so well.

Observe their operations. You can also use Google to find out if they are doing other marketing strategies such as guest posting to increase their conversions.

4. Broaden your options.

It will not do well for your CPA to limit your marketing strategies to just sites with low competition on CPM bids.

On the side of the affiliate working with cost per action network, there are also certain strategies to consider. Here are some of them:

1. Find an easy network to incorporate in your existing website or blog operations.

People usually don’t have time for lengthy downloads or tedious application of forms. This is why joining CPA networks that only require the completion of one detail is a good idea. Try looking for those that only accepts email addresses or even zip codes.

2. Look for a big payout.

If you want to earn money faster, choose bigger networks. If it is a large network that requires a large action, it usually offers big payout. So make sure you check out those that require bigger actions.

Now that you know these Google Cost per Action strategies, you should already know how to get started.
